INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Screw the Dan-Allen cleaning patch holder onto cleaning rod, and affix
a single cleaning patch onto the sharp center post. Try piercing the cleaning patch somewhere
near it's center. (This can best be accomplished while standing cleaning rod up, with handle
resting on floor.) (SEE FIGURE NO.1) Insert into breach end of barrel and slowly push through
entire length of barrel. NOTE: When resistance is encountered near muzzle end of barrel, due
to the reduced diameter of choke area, begin rotating rod while applying slight forward pressure.
This will allow you to ease the rod tip member through the barrel a proper distance so that the
cleaning rod may be retracted with the cleaning patch still intact and firmly gripped by the
many gripping edges on the circumference of the tip. (SEE FIGURE NO.2) This initial passage
through barrel will remove practically all loose particles and residue. Barrel should now be
thoroughly scrubbed to loosen fouling that naturally adheres to barrel wall. We recommend using
a bronze bristled bore brush for this purpose, and cleaning solvent if desired. Finally using
the Dan-Allen rod tip, and clean dry patches you will easily be able to obtain a bright,
spotlessly clean bore. |
